This page is dedicated to thanking all of our customers,
you the visitors and especially those who helped us indirectly in developing
this site.
| Our first thanks is to Julie Meloni,
for writing in a style that could be easily understood |
| |
When we informed our programmer that we decided to switch to a Linux based hosting setup, his reply was “Woe...Woe.. Woo No you're talking about; Apache server, PHP, MySQL, and I know nothing about it.”
That meant he would either have to go back to school or research fast and learn all that’s possible in about a week.
Opting for the shortcut, five books later (CDs included), and hours on the internet, nothing made sense. He felt as if he’d hit a brick wall and was ready to give up.
By chance he came across a small book on sale: “PHP Essentials, 1st edition.” by Julie Meloni, after only 20 minutes everything suddenly came together.
The first edition of this book was one of the very first PHP books published, in early 2000. (The second edition had been published already, therefore the first edition was on sale.)
By no means we want to imply that the other PHP books are not excellent or less informative |
